  • So cute. : )
When I was little I would get my hair fixed like that sometimes and sometimes just one like that in the back. When it was in the back I would call it my smurf tail. : )

Smurf Tail! I love that! I used to put a towel on my head after showers & wrap my hair up in it (turban style) & call myself a Smurf. :)

  • Love the girls hair. My kids just got into Star Wars. I should try to do Caitlin’s hair like this.

You would have thought it was Christmas around here when my youngest could finally get them to wrap more than once. She was SO excited!

  • Too cute!! We are huge Star Wars fans here! My daughter’s hair is so thin and fine though that her buns would be the size of a quarter. When she gets more hair I can’t wait to try this hairdo out.

So are we! My oldest is obsessed. We had a hard time getting my youngest’s hair to do this until recently, and last year she had little teeny tiny knobs on the side of her head w/ more bobby pin than hair. She was thrilled when her hair grew out long enough!

  • Great pictures! I’m trying to get my daughter to grow out her hair so I can do fun things with it! =P I’m gonna explore your blog now! I’m a new follower–check out my blog! “See” ya soon!

Thank you so much! Sometimes it is a chore, but mainly it is fun to have girls with long hair. I tend to let them tell me what they want, but every once in awhile I get to try something new (like a side bun, which I need to work on!)

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be sure to check your blog out too! :)

haha! Awesome! Last year my oldest was Yoda, youngest was R2D2 & mama & daddy managed to put together Princess Leia & Han Solo costumes per the girls’ request. We were a sight. But we had a blast.

I always had long hair until I was about 9 & decided to chop it off. I was traumatized so I decided I would never cut the girls’ hair until they were ready (unless it was ridiculous or causing issues). Neither has ever had a haircut. My oldest’s hair is getting a little TOO long, so I think we will be getting a trim before she starts Kindergarten in August.

  • Oh how fun!!! :) I can’t wait to have a girl to play with the hair!! :)

It is fun. Most of the time. I could do without the tangles, b/c I hate the tears, but I can’t have knotty hair! Thanks for stopping by!

I remember those days when I was little. I wanted my hair really long, but I hated everytime my mom had to brush it! Now, at 24, I love for my mom to brush my hair! My how times change! haha!

    natalie Reply:

So true! Since my oldest has curls, I have to use a comb, and we often have more tangles than her sister who has just a slight wave (and I can use a brush on). But we’ve stocked up on detangler and I try to comb very lightly.

  • They are wearing the heck out of their Princess Leia ‘dos! I love it. :)

    natalie Reply:

Yes they are! My youngest is obsessed with it now that her hair is long enough. She’s rocking them today too!

  • Cuties! The pictures showed up flush side by side in my reader. It looks pretty cute that way, too.

  • So sweet! I’m jealous of the weather warm enough for shorts & the gorgeous long hair! :)

    [Reply]

    natalie Reply:

If it makes you feel any better, the weather has gone back to cold (for here) and dreary. We’re wearing our longsleeves/pants and jackets again.

*sigh* SoCal weather is so fickle this time of year.

All these nice comments on how pretty their hair is makes it THAT much more difficult to plan to cut/trim it.

  • Nice hair! I wish my daughter would let me put her hair up more. Your girls hair is so neat.

    natalie Reply:

Thank you! I usually give them free range as to what they want done to their hair, my only rule is that it must be pulled back for school. Otherwise, I’m pretty lenient. It can be fun to fix, but time-consuming.

    Thanks for stopping by!

It just reminded me that my step daughter’s hair was up in a similar style for her dad’s and my wedding.
